The Salk Institute for Biological Studies is a world-renowned research facility located in La Jolla, California. Founded in 1960 by Jonas Salk, the developer of the polio vaccine, the institute is dedicated to the advancement of biology and medicine. Visiting the institute is a unique experience that offers visitors the opportunity to witness cutting-edge scientific research in action and learn about the history of one of the most influential research institutions in the world.

One of the most striking aspects of the Salk Institute is its breathtaking architecture. Designed by famed architect Louis Kahn, the institute is a masterpiece of modernism, thanks to its striking lines, open spaces, and beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. As you walk through the main courtyard, the surrounding concrete environment will feel both futuristic and retro at the same time, like you’re on the set of some Dystopian movie adapted from the latest YA novel. Whether you're a student, researcher, or simply interested in science & architecture, a visit to the institute is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
