I’ve driven through Elysian Park countless times on my way to Dodger Stadium, but somehow never took the time to stop and explore Angel’s Point. Tucked into the hills above the stadium, it’s one of those hidden little spots in the park that offers amazing views of the surrounding area, including downtown Los Angeles.

There’s plenty of open space to wander around, picnic tables if you want to grab a bite, and plenty of spots to sit back and enjoy the scenery. The centerpiece is the wonderfully unusual Frank Glass and Grace E. Simons Memorial Sculpture, an abstract, almost otherworldly piece that adds a little artistic mystery to the setting.

It’s one of those places that reminds you there are still hidden gems right in your own backyard, even in a city as familiar as LA. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful picnic spot, some interesting public art, or just a different perspective on the city, Angel’s Point is definitely worth checking out!
